Data protection and privacy

1. data protection
General information
The following notes provide a simple overview of what happens to your personal information when you visit our website. Personal information is any information that personally identifies you.

Data collection on our website
Who is responsible for data collection on this website?

The data processing on this website is carried out by the website operator. Their contact data can be found in the imprint of this website.

How do we collect your data?
On the one hand, your data is collected by you communicating it to us. This may, for example, involve data that you enter during registration. Other data is automatically collected by our systems when you visit the website. These are mainly technical data (e.g. Internet browser, operating system or time of the page call). This data is collected automatically as soon as you enter our website.

What do we use your data for?
Part of the data is collected to ensure that the website is error-free. Other data can be used to analyse your user behaviour. Further data is necessary for the use and presentation of a profile. Data from the paid profile is also used to generate invoices/credit notes by the website operator.

What rights do you have with regard to your data?
You have the right at any time and free of charge to receive information about the origin, recipient and purpose of your stored personal data. You also have the right to demand the correction, blocking or deletion of this data. You can contact us at any time at the address given in the imprint for this and other questions on the subject of data protection. Furthermore, you have the right to appeal to the responsible supervisory authority.

Analysis Tools and Tools from Third-Party Providers
When you visit our website, your surfing behaviour can be statistically evaluated. This is done primarily with cookies and so-called analysis programs. The analysis of your surfing behaviour is usually anonymous; the surfing behaviour cannot be traced back to you. You can object to this analysis (see Privacy Options on this page) or prevent it by not using certain tools.

Working with contract processors and third parties
Insofar as we disclose data to other persons and companies (contract processors or third parties) within the scope of our processing, transfer them to them or otherwise grant them access to the data, this shall only take place on the basis of legal permission (e.g. if you have consented to the transfer of the data to third parties, such as payment service providers pursuant to Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b DSGVO required for the performance of the contract), if you have provided for a legal obligation to do so or on the basis of our legitimate interests (e.g. when using agents, web hosts etc.).

If we commission third parties with the processing of data on the basis of a so-called "order processing contract", this is done on the basis of Art. 28 DSGVO.

If we process data in a third country (i.e. outside the European Union [EU] or the European Economic Area [EEA]) or if this takes place in the context of the use of the services of third parties or the disclosure or transfer of data to third parties, this only occurs if it is done to fulfil our (pre-)contractual obligations, on the basis of your consent, a legal obligation or on the basis of our legitimate interests. Subject to legal or contractual permissions, we or third parties process the data in a third country only if the special requirements of Art. 44 ff. of the German Data Protection Act are met. DSGVO. This means that the processing takes place, for example, on the basis of special guarantees such as the officially recognised determination of a data protection level corresponding to the EU (e.g. for the USA by the "Privacy Shield") or in compliance with officially recognised special contractual obligations (so-called "standard contractual clauses").

What data is collected and how is it processed?
Our website also processes, stores and publishes personal data of users of both free and paid profiles.

If you register as a free profile, the following data will be processed and stored by the website operator:

    Master data of the profile
    Content data of a request
    usage data

We differentiate between school and teacher profile when registering the fee-based profile.  If you register as a paid profile, the following data will be processed and stored by the website operator:

    Master data of the profile
Master data of teachers (if package "School" is used)
    image data
    Content data of a request
    usage data

By entering the master data of the teachers when using the "School" package, you agree that you are authorised to enter, pass on and publish the master data of the teachers on your profile on our website and that you have written confirmation of this. The responsibility for providing the master data of the teachers and the data uploaded with it lies with the user of the paid profile.

The data of the chargeable profiles will also be used to create and process the data for invoices and credit notes.

In addition, we process usage data and metadata for legitimate interest in accordance with Art. 6 Art. 1 lit. f DSGVO.

If a user of a free profile sends a request, the following data will be exchanged between the parties involved in the request and in accordance with Art. 14 DSGVO:

    First name of the requestor
    Last name of the inquirer
Name of the music school of the inquired person
First name of the requested party
Last name of the person inquired about
Profile picture of the requested person

If a user registers a paid profile, the following data will be made publicly available in order to fulfil our contractual obligations and services pursuant to Art. 6 Para. 1 lit b DSGVO.

    Master data of the profile
Master data of teachers (if package "School" is used)
    image data

2. general information and mandatory information
data protection
The operators of these pages take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and according to the legal data protection regulations as well as this data protection explanation.

If you use this website, various personal data will be collected. Personal data is data with which you can be personally identified. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect and how we use it. It also explains how and for what purpose this is done.

We would like to point out that data transmission over the Internet (e.g. communication by e-mail) can be subject to security gaps. A complete protection of the data against access by third parties is not possible.

Reference to the responsible office
The responsible body for data processing on this website is:

findyourteacher GbR, P.O. Box 100424, 425404 Velbert

The responsible body is the natural or legal person who alone or jointly with others decides on the purposes and means of processing personal data (e.g. names, e-mail addresses, etc.).

Revocation of your consent to data processing
Many data processing operations are only possible with your express consent. You can revoke your consent at any time. For this purpose, an informal e-mail notification to us and the processing of the data protection options (see this website) are sufficient. The legality of the data processing carried out until the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.

Right of appeal to the responsible supervisory authority
In the event of breaches of data protection law, the data subject shall have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority. The responsible supervisory authority for data protection issues is the data protection officer of the federal state in which our company is based. A list of the data protection officers and their contact details can be found in the following link: LINK.

Right to data transferability
You have the right to have data which we process automatically on the basis of your consent or in fulfilment of a contract handed over to you or to a third party in a common, machine-readable format. If you request the direct transfer of the data to another responsible person, this will only be done as far as it is technically feasible.

SSL or TLS encryption
This site uses SSL or TLS encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or requests that you send to us as the site operator. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from "http://" to "https://" and by the lock symbol in your browser line.

If SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

Information, blocking, deletion
Within the framework of the applicable legal provisions, you have the right at any time to free information about your stored personal data, their origin and recipient and the purpose of data processing and, if applicable, a right to correction, blocking or deletion of this data. You can contact us at any time at the address given in the imprint for this and other questions on the subject of personal data.

3. data acquisition on our website
Some of the Internet pages use so-called cookies. Cookies do not damage your computer and do not contain viruses. Cookies serve to make our offer more user-friendly, more effective and safer. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer by your browser.

Most of the cookies we use are so-called "session cookies". They are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Other cookies remain stored on your terminal until you delete them. These cookies enable us to recognize your browser during your next visit.

You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases, accept cookies for certain cases or generally exclude them and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. If cookies are deactivated, the functionality of this website may be restricted.

Cookies which are necessary for the electronic communication process or for the provision of certain functions requested by you (e.g. shopping basket function) are stored on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO. The website operator has a justified interest in the storage of cookies for the technically error-free and optimised provision of its services. Insofar as other cookies (e.g. cookies for analysing your surfing behaviour) are stored, these are dealt with separately in this data protection declaration.

Server log files
The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:

Browser type and browser version
used operating system
Referrer URL
Hostname of the accessing computer
Time of the server request
IP address
This data will not be merged with other data sources.

The basis for data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b DSGVO, which permits the processing of data for the fulfilment of a contract or pre-contractual measures.

4. plug-ins and tools
Google Web Fonts
This page uses so-called web fonts provided by Google for the uniform display of fonts. When you call up a page, your browser loads the required web fonts into its browser cache in order to display texts and fonts correctly.

For this purpose, the browser you are using must connect to Google's servers. This enables Google to know that your IP address has been used to access our website. The use of Google Web Fonts is in the interest of a uniform and appealing presentation of our online services. This constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO.

If your browser does not support web fonts, a standard font will be used by your computer.

Further information on Google Web Fonts can be found at and in Google's privacy policy:

Cloudflare CDN
This page uses the Cloudflare CDN provided by Cloudflare for display and function. When calling up a page, your browser loads the required files into its browser cache in order to make the elementary functions of the website available.

For this purpose the Browser used by you must take up connection to the servers of Cloudflare. Through this, Cloudflare obtains knowledge that our website has been accessed via your IP address. The use of Cloudflare takes place in the interest of a uniform and appealing representation of our online offers. This represents a justified interest in the sense of art. 6 exp. 1 lit. f DSGVO.

Tracking tools
Our website uses features of various web analytics services provided by other companies, such as Google Inc. In the following, we will explain in more detail which services are involved and which data are analysed. We use Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA, hereinafter "Google", on our website. Google Analytics uses cookies to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information generated by the cookies about the use of our online services (e.g. when, where and how often you access our website, including your IP address) is generally transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. So that the personal reference of your IP address is omitted, it is shortened immediately after its collection (e.g. by the deletion of the last 8 bits) and thus anonymized. IP anonymisation also applies to all member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the European Economic Area. Further information on IP anonymisation and the use of data by Google can be found at: . If you would like to decide for yourself what data Google collects about the websites you visit, you can download a deactivation add-on for your Internet browser. However, this add-on does not prevent data from being transmitted to us or to other web analysis services we use. For more information about how to use and install the add-on, please visit: . If you use a mobile device (e.g. smartphone) to access our website, or if you wish to object to the use of Google Analytics on this website in general, please click on this link to prevent the transmission of analysis data to Google Analytics. The above link is also possible as an alternative to the browser add-on already described, because it activates an "opt-out cookie" which is only valid for this browser and this domain. When cookies are deleted in this browser, this cookie is also lost and you must click the link again. Use of Google Tag Manager We use the Google Tag Manager from Google. The Google Tag Manager can manage various website tags of marketers via an interface. The tool (Tag Manager, which implements the tags) is a cookie-free domain and does not collect any personal data. It only triggers tags that may themselves collect data. However, the Google Tag Manager does not access this data. If deactivation has been made at the domain or cookie level, this will remain the case for all tracking tags implemented with Google Tag Manager.
